Hardinger Family Testimony

As a family we were fortunate enough to watch both DVDs: Finding Faith in Christ and The Testaments. Having watched both, we were reminded of our faith in and love for the Savior.

We know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and through His Atonement we can be completely forgiven of our sins. We know that His gospel is the only way to true and lasting happiness in this life and the life to come. We have found a deep sense of peace through his teachings. Because of His Atonement, our family can be together as a family unit in this life and into the next.

We also testify that Christ organized His church and has chosen men to be His servants and spokesman since the beginning of time. The Savior has again chosen apostles and prophets in our time. He has established His church today and called it The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In the challenging times and circumstances in which we live, each person desperately needs the peace that only the Savior can bring. We testify that He lives today and loves each individual more deeply than we can comprehend. We invite anyone who reads this, whether they are Christian or non-Christian, to read the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. As a family, we have gained a deep testimony from the words in these God-inspired books.

We Found Faith in Christ

We enjoyed watching the DVD, "Finding Faith in Christ", this evening as a family. As we saw vignettes on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, we were reminded of our love for him and our testimony of his work.

We know the scriptures are true -- that the Bible is the word of God, as is the Book of Mormon (another testament of Jesus Christ). Some believe the Bible to be a book of nice stories and Jesus to be a prophet of sorts. We know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he came in the role of Savior and Redeemer. We know that our Savior did really live and performed many miracles. He established His church when on the earth. We know that Jesus Christ went through the atonement, and that he died for us. He not only suffered for our sins but experienced our pains and sorrows. He knows us and our human weaknesses as no other. We are very grateful for his sacrifice, and that through him we can become clean and return to live with our Father in Heaven.

In these days, the church of Jesus Christ has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. The power to do miracles still exists today, as righteous men of god wield the power of the priesthood. His church is lead by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson.

Who is Jesus? - The Calder Family Testimony

Jesus is the Christ. He is the Son of God! He created the world and came into it to save us by suffering for our sins. He was born to the virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life, established His church by calling apostles and giving them Priesthood authority. He suffered for the sins of all of God's children and was crucified for us. Three days after His crucifixion, He rose from the dead. He sits on the right hand of God pleading our cause. We love the scripture describing this in Doctrine and Covenants 45:3-5 which reads:
"Listen to him who is the advocate with the Father, who is pleading your cause before him— Saying: Father, behold the sufferings and death of him who did no sin, in whom thou wast well pleased; behold the blood of thy Son which was shed, the blood of him whom thou gavest that thyself might be glorified; Wherefore, Father, spare these my brethren that believe on my name, that they may come unto me and have everlasting life."

Jesus Christ is truly there for us. We love watching the Finding Faith in Christ and Testaments movies because they help you to picture what it would have been like to walk with the Savior, or listen to him preach at the temple. In some respects we have all felt His gentle touch in our lives, particularly when things get tough. As we reflect on our quiet sacred moments spent in prayer or scripture study we can truly say that our hearts have burned within us, just as they did for the men who unknowingly walked with the Savior on the road to Emmaus.

Jesus Christ loves us and will never leave us. Through His atonement we can be forgiven of our sins and made perfect through Him. He is our Savior, Redeemer, Comforter, and Healer. We leave our testimony with that of the Prophet Joseph Smith from Doctrine and Covenants 76:22, "And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!" Christ does live and will return again to this earth to reign in righteousness.

Jesus Christ continues to reach out to us today. His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is on the Earth today. He sends Prophets and Apostles to testify of the power of His atonement. We pray that all will come to truly know the Savior and share that truth with all those whom they associate with. Please prayerfully watch the videos and study the scriptures and share your own testimony of our Savior and Redeemer.
